- Pay on-time the bills charging late fees. Put off others: the phone, electric, car registration/insurance can go longer. Use the $ for food.
- I'm doing exactly what I've always done: living within my means. Not a problem. No lifestyle change. Libraries are still free.
- Bring lunch from home. It might not always be that exciting but it's a huge savings!
- Drink water. It's good for you and free!
- Stop buying expensive cleaning produces. Most things can be cleaned with white vinegar, baking soda, coarse salt, or soap & hot water.
- Enjoy things you can do, and forget the others.downsized to smaller house one year ago; paid off debts; learned to use craigslist, goodwill and freecycle.
- I spend less money than I make.
- Use extra cash, if any, to pay off credit cards. Never spend what you don't have to buy what you don't need to impress those you don't know
- Lose weight to reduce medical costs. I've lost 50 pounds and 2 chronic health problems along with the pounds.
- Canceling the gym membership and getting exercise through yard work, walks instead.
